The Greek Finance Minister Situnalasi said at the forum, despite temporary difficulties, Greece is still an attractive investment destination. The Greek government is convinced that negotiations with international creditors on new austerity measures will achieve positive results.Situnalasi said: "We hope that we can make a decision in October, which will allow us to face the future with optimism."Situnalasi said Greece's budget deficit will not break through the ceiling set by international creditors this year and Greece is expected to restore economic growth in 2014.
Du Qiwen, Chinese ambassador to Greece, said at the forum, the holding of economic and trade forum , on the one hand, was passed out the support of the Chinese government, Chinese companies and the Chinese people of Greece as well as confidence in the longterm cooperation on both sides; the other hand, for hoping entrepreneurs provide a good platform for them to strengthen mutual understanding and knowledge and creat the opportunity to explore the prospects for cooperation.
Long Guoqiang, China's State Council Development Research Center of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Research, said in an interview with reporters, that Greece has a great potential for the development of tourism cooperation. Long Guoqiang said, Greece is a country with deep cultural heritage , the pleasant climate, the perfect tourism infrastructures, the sound law and order situation is also good, can be used as an important tourist destination of Chinese tourists. He said, tourism can foster the infrastructure, hotels and even the aviation industry's investment, and some specialty products in Greece is also great potential in the Chinese market, including olive oil, red wine, cheese.
