Great interest expressed from Chinese Investors for investments in Greece.

The Hellenic-Chinese Union for Economical, Commercial & Cultural
Communications (HCU), upon invitation accepted by Official Organizations of
Xiamen, after the generous support of the Company KLEOS SA, took part in the 17th
International Fair for Investment and Trade CIFIT 2013 in China, held at International
Conference & Exhibition Center (XICEC) of Xiamen from September 8th to
September 11th 2013.
CIFIT is the largest global event of interest for investments within and outside China,
approved by UFI. This international event in China, under the auspices of the Central
Government of China, aims to promote investments and facilitates bilateral relations,
highlighting all investment policies and investment projects and corporate products in
all provinces of China.
HCU was represented by its Chairman, Mr. Lan Xiao Cheng, the Vice-President and
Executive President Mrs. Nikoletta Kaperoni, the Public Relations Manager Mr. John
Moustos, the Board Member Mr. Michael Karamalis and the Board Consultants Mr.
Stephen Tsolakidis, President of KLEOS SA and Mr. Li Chenggui writer and
journalist from Beijing.
During the opening ceremony in CIFIT, a special event organized by HCU, entitled
"2013 Greek Investment & Trade Promotion Event" took place. All members of HCU
called on interested investors from all over China to invest in Greece. Furthermore, all
identified growth prospects in Greece, in the fields of tourism, real estate, renewable
energy and food industry, were presented and discussed in a detailed presentation by
HCU focused on appropriate initiatives to invest in Greece.
All interested Investors responded very positively.

Finally, planned bilateral working meetings (B2B) between Chinese Entrepreneurs
and HCU representatives took place, aiming to finding ways of cooperation between
Chinese and Greek companies enabling them to exploit investment opportunities in
Greece and partnerships between Greek and Chinese Entrepreneurs. These meetings
were crowned with complete success, according to the views of all participants.
Also, as part of its duties, HCU representatives during their staying in Xiamen briefed
representatives of local government and institutions of Xiamen for all investment
opportunities in Greece today, attracting a lot of interest.
After CIFIT operations were finished, the HCU Delegation went to Beijing and
visited the Capital Normal University (CNU). The Dean of the University, Mrs. Liu
Xiaotian hosted a luncheon in honor of the Delegation. There were exchanges of
useful insights in the fields of Education and Sciences.
Finally, the Delegation of HCU visited the, under construction, premises of FREE
TRADE ZONE at a distance of 25 kilometers from the International airport of
Beijing, a project of 10 million sq. m. constructed rapidly, as it is expected to be the
largest Reception Center of all Products in China. The first phase of this great work
will be delivered in March 2014. The official announcement for this project will be
held in November 2013 at Beijing in a special ceremony, by the Minister of
Commerce of China.
HCU will be the only Greek organization to sign, within next days, a Cooperation
Agreement with the top Management of FREE TRADE ZONE, thus given the
opportunity to help many Greek companies to promote their products in China's huge
market and help them to export their products to the largest market in the world.
All above were achieved through the efforts of the Board consultant Mr. Li Chenggui
and the President of the Chinese company IBD (BUSINESS DATA) LIMITED Mr.
Liu Xiaodong. The Union would like to thank them both.
The Hellenic-Chinese Union for Economical, Commercial & Cultural
Communications (HCU) will continue its efforts aiming mainly to nurture, develop
and encourage trade, economic and cultural cooperation between the Greek Republic
and the People's Republic of China.
