Acropolis Museum

Acropolis museum was built in 1943~1953,s located in the southeast corner of the acropolis.The first purpose of design is the acropolis' original pattern does not affected . After the Greek Independence,the Greek King ,from Bavaria, Otto Thi's father Ludwig Thi had commissioned the famous palace designers building palace, One of the options is the palace alive on Acropolis hill, which is now the location of the Acropolis Museum.In order to protect national treasures the Acropolis in Greece, Ludwig Thi flatly rejected this proposal. It now appears that his decision is very wise.

Concentration of ancient Athens, Greece's most precious, the most important cultural heritage in the Acropolis Museum. The left part display at the 6th century BC - the unadorned period some archaeological finds. Acropolis once completely destroyed by the Persians, in the ruins of collapsed, people discover a lot of ancient architecture, sculpture remnants such as the marble statues of the famous Temple of Athena. In the right part, the main is the classical period relics.

The first hall began in the 6th century BC ancient times, a mural performance of the Hercules fighting with Hydra. The opposite side of the door is a lion dangling from a cow.

The second hall show the 6th century BC marble statue of the Sphinx. The fourth hall brought together many of the works of the masters of the pre-classical period.

Starting from the sixth hall until ninth hall,gradually into the classical period. This, of course, is the most exciting part of the Acropolis Museum, visitors must not miss.
