New Acropolis Museum
At the Macri Ioannis under the Acropolis hill,which spending huge sums to build a new Acropolis museum. This area has a lot of early nineteenth Century and twentieth Century neoclassical building. Swiss~born French architect Bernard Tschumi won the right to design the new Acropolis Museum. The museum built in three layers: the tourists in the first layer step on a slant symbolizes boarded the sacred Acropolis Hill.An area of 800 square meters of area, exhibited a large number of archaeological finds from the Acropolis, Yamashita multiple ancient site -sculpture, inscriptions, and other relief. Another purpose of the Greek Ministry of Culture built the museum is to allow existing in the British Museum's Elgin Marbles received collections returned to Greece.
